The regular jack is intended only for short-term lifting of the car at wheel replacement; before performance of any works under the car it is necessary to establish it on special props!

The spare wheel, jack and key for wheel nuts are stored in a luggage compartment.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

For access to office for tools lift a cover. The lifted cover can be fixed by means of a hook located on its bottom party. Park the car on an equal horizontal platform, whenever possible with a firm covering. Cock the parking brake and establish the AT selector lever in the situation "P". In case of need expose a sign of an emergency stop. Prop up protivootkatny boots a wheel located on a diagonals from a subject to replacement. At procedure performance on a bias it is necessary to enclose boots under both wheels of a serviceable axis from descent. Prepare the necessary tool (a jack, a ballonny key) and a spare wheel. At the corresponding complete set remove a protective cap of a disk, then give nuts of fastening of the failed wheel. Get a jack head under the corresponding point, - track, that the jack settled down strictly vertically, and his heel rested all the surface against soil, - at friable soil enclose under a heel a suitable lining (in the winter it is useful to have a piece of a wide board in the car). Watch as well that the groove in a head of a jack entered into the corresponding cuts in a car threshold. Regardless of bias existence the jack always should occupy strictly vertical situation! Working with the jack handle, raise the car, - the damaged wheel should come off the earth completely. Turn out wheel nuts and make wheel replacement. Check pressure of a rating of the established wheel, in case of need make the corresponding adjustment (see. Specifications to Head Governing bodies and operation receptions). Clean the removed wheel and the tool on the regular places. In summary evenly tighten wheel nuts in a diagonal order with effort of 103 Nanometers.

Car posting

For posting of the car the lift with four paws resting against reference points for a screw jack (see an illustration) is used.

At installation of the lift special laying is used.

Paws of the lift should be centered rather reference points on a longitudinal axis of the car (to the left and to the right), and for alignment of the lift of rather cross-section axis of the car it is necessary to adhere to the following sequence: Level edges of a rubber slip on a lift paw with bottom edges (A) of special laying; Level the upper edge (B) of special laying with forward cut in an installation site of a screw jack; Clean laying.

Transportation of the emergency car

Transportation on a wrecker platform

It is most reasonable to transport the emergency car on the wrecker. Such transportation of all-wheel drive cars can be made only with a separation of all wheels from the earth: or a method of complete loading of the faulty car on a platform of the wrecker,

or having placed one axis on the pendant shelf of the wrecker, and other axis – on the special cart.

Thus the parking brake should be released.

For fastening of an emergency vehicle on a platform of the wrecker it is necessary to use fixing eyes.

Do not use for this purpose towing eyes.

Towage

PERFORMANCE ORDER

If to avoid towage it is not possible, it is most reasonable to make it on a rigid hitch. Before the towage beginning on the emergency car it is necessary to turn the ignition key in the situation "ACC" or "ON", to transfer the AT selector lever to the situation "N" and to release the parking brake. (A cable or a bar) it is necessary to hook on a towing element only for a special towing eye, but at all for a bumper or suspension bracket elements. At towage on a flexible hitch use only cable specially intended for this purpose. Application of modern synthetic materials allowed to adjust release of towing cables of the elastic design minimizing danger of breaks as a result of hit of a sling under wheels of the towed car. The driver of the towing car should try to move as much as possible evenly, smoothly releasing coupling at gear shifting and, especially, at a troganiye from a place. At management of a towed vehicle watch, that during movement the cable constantly remained tense, try not to allow sharp breakthroughs and arrivals on a proslablenny cable. Remember that at the switched-off engine efficiency of braking of the car considerably decreases because the vacuum amplifier of brakes ceases to function. Thus it is necessary to squeeze out a pedal of a working brake with much big, than usually effort; at maneuvering performance the bigger effort should be put also to a steering wheel since the pump of the amplifier of a steering also will not function. Before a start of motion drivers of both vehicles (towing and towed) should coordinate among themselves a route. Movement should be carried out on the shortest route, with a speed no more than 50 km/h, on distance no more than 50 km and with observance of traffic regulations. Avoid sharp braking, accelerations and superfluous maneuvering. Remember that at car towage on edge of a dirt road always there is a danger of demolition on a roadside. Before the beginning of towage check level of transmission liquid (see. Head of Control and routine maintenance of the car), - at insufficient level of ATF, it is necessary to modify it, or to tow the car only with the driving wheels torn off from the earth.

Towage for the purpose of engine start

Start of the engine of the cars equipped with AT, method of towage or pushing is not obviously possible, - in case of need use the auxiliary power supply.
